  • Well there you are! I’ve been preparing for you. Like so many things in life, its been a process. One step at a time. I’ve met many people like you over the years. You want to get in better shape. You know that you should. But, time just keeps getting away from you. I’ll start next month. I’ll start after this big project. I’ll start when the kids get older. I’ll start when life settles down. I’ll start in the new year.

So many excuses…reasons…explanations. Call it what you will.

But, here’s the thing… There never is a best time to start. The reality is that we all have things happening in our lives all the time. There are ALWAYS plenty of things vying for our attention. And the thing is that many, maybe all, of these things are super important. It can be very challenging to prioritize “getting in better shape” when you work, have kids, have a husband (or wife). You have groceries, laundry, housework. School functions or homeschool duties. Family functions, parents, friends. Or maybe you just don’t know where to start. Maybe you’re scared or intimidated by the unfamiliar process. The list is endless.

And the guilt we feel when we prioritize our own personal needs over those of others is REAL. Somehow we’ve believed the lie that it’s selfish to take time for ourselves. We’ve bought into the lie that we must sacrifice ourselves at the altar of everyone else’s needs. Our children and spouses can even exasperate our feelings of guilt by literally taking it for granted that we will always make their every whim or activity our top priority. I mean, it’s kind of our own fault. We’ve trained them to expect it. So, inevitably we completely ignore our own fitness. We spend year after year doing all the things for everyone. And then one day we look in the mirror and don’t even know who we are. Our bodies are a wreck. We’re tired, overweight, unhealthy, high blood pressure, thyroid’s a disaster, hormones are totally out of whack.

I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to abandon your family or neglect your duties in order to take care of yourself. You can have both! You can still be an amazing mom/wife (or dad/husband) AND love the body that God gave you! In fact, prioritizing your health and fitness will make you a BETTER mom and wife (dad and husband).

So, how do you take control of your body when your day is so completely inundated with stuff or you feel like you’re just so far gone? How do you finally prioritize your HEALTH and well-being?

One Step at a Time. 1% Better every day!

That’s where I come in. I’ll work with you to identify your values, priorities and goals. And then we’ll collaborate on the best plan for taking back control. We’ll focus on adding in movement, adjusting lifestyle habits, and improving your nutrition. And we’ll do it all in manageable, sustainable steps.

Don’t put off for tomorrow what you should have done years ago! Your future self will thank you! Send me an email and we’ll start the conversation! ob.foundationalfitness@gmail.com

    Love you,

    Coach Olivia
